Drilling in tiles
Start drilling a tile slowly. Only after
the tile is drilled through, switch to
EN
hammer drilling.
This prevents the tile from cracking.
Drilling with diamond drill bits
Set the operation mode switch to drilling.
-NOTE-
Switch off the hammer mechanism when drilling
with a diamond drill bit.
Normal drilling / fitting screws
The quick-action chuck with QuiXS screw plate (Ac-
cessories) can accommodate round-shaft drills and
bits (magnetic bit holders).
Set the operation mode switch to drilling.

5. Tools and accessories

For metal, use only flawless, sharpened drills; for
stone and concrete, only rock drills with hard met-
al inserts.
Sharpening the chiselling tools
For good results, you need sharp chiselling tools,
so ensure that they are sharpened regularly. This
prolongs the service life of the tools and ensures
good working performance.
Sharpen chiselling tools with grinding wheels (e.g.
ceramic bonded corundum wheel) with a steady
supply of water. Standard values for this are
shown in the illustrated instructions. Take care
that no annealing colouration appears on the cut-
ting edges, otherwise the hardness of the chisel-
ling tools will be impaired.
Use keyless drill chuck
Drill bits with a cylindrical shaft are used for drilling
in metal, wood and plastic. A keyless drill chuck
(max. 13 mm clamping diameter) is available for
this purpose.
Changing quick-fit drill chuck system
Before performing any work on the
power tool, pull the mains plug and
remove the battery pack.

6. Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before performing any work on the
power tool, pull the mains plug and
remove the battery pack.
Keep the power tool and the ventilation slots
clean at all times.
Wipe off the accessible plastic parts regularly
with a cloth without cleaning agent.
Keep the tool holding fixture clean at all times.
Changing the dust protection cap
A damaged dust protection cap should be
changed immediately. It is recommend to have
this carried out by an after-sales service.
Service
After heavy use over a long period,
the power tool should be taken to a
Kress service centre for inspection
and thorough cleaning.
The relevant service centres are listed in the en-
closed appendix "SERVICE" or on our website
www.kress-elektrik.de.
Spare parts / exploded view
Exploded views and spare parts lists are available
