Unscrew the filter bowl by wiping with any cloth any fuel spillage.
2.
3. Remove the filter element and clean it with solvent. Let it dry. Inspect
the filter element (3), O-ring (2) and filter cup (1) to ensure they are
in good working order. Replace if necessary. If there is evidence of
water in the filter, check and clean the fuel tank.
4. Reinstall the filter element into the beaker. Make sure that the O-ring
is correctly positioned in the filter cup. Tighten the assembly firmly.
5. Position the filter on the engine. Connect the fuel hoses. Start the
engine and look for leaks.
CHECKING THE SLOW MARCH
A tachometer is required to check the idle speed. Results may vary depending on whether
the test is performed in a test tank, or with the engine in the water.
1. Start the engine and allow it to warm up completely in neutral until it is working perfectly.
2. Verify that idle speed is set to specification.
CAUTTION
Correct measurement of idle speed is only possible if the engine is fully heated. If it is not
fully heated, the idle will be above normal. If you have difficulty checking the speed, or the idle
speed requires adjustment, contact your authorized TOYAMA dealer.
Changing the oil engine
Notice! Avoid draining the oil immediately after switching off the engine. The oil will be too
hot and can lead to burns.
Make sure that the engine is properly attached to the vessel or transport trolley.
Attention! Replace engine oil after the first 10 hours of use. After this first exchange, the
exchange interval will be every 100 hours or 6 months, whichever occurs earlier. Failure
to do so may result in engine malfunction.
Change the oil when it is slightly heated, to drain better.
1. Place the outboard upright and not tilting.
