4.3 Maintaining data
The thermometer automatically maintains the last temperature reading on
the display for 7 s after releasing the "On/Hold" button (fig. 7).
No additional buttons are required to freeze the displayed reading.

4.4 Using display backlight
➤ Press the "On/Hold" button to power on the thermometer.
➤ Press the "Backlight" button to turn on the backlight.
➤ Repeat the procedure to turn off the backlight (fig. 8).
