SEQUENTIAL PROGRAMME (TONIC FIBRES) (MF,TENS)
1. General:
Complete programme for specific muscle strengthening, composed of a 'warming-up',
2 training phases, multiple intervals and 'cooling-down'.
2. Indication:
In conditions, where an increment of the strength of non-injured and/or fully recovered
tonic (slow-twitch) muscles is required.
3. Treatment time:
22 minutes.
4. Remarks:
No DC component, the risk for electrochemical damage (chemical burn) is minimal.
5. Programme:
IF, 2p, 2,5 kHz, AMF 10 Hz, 1,5 min, followed by an interval of 1 min.
BF.SYM., 400 µs, 20 Hz, contraction rhythm of 1/6/1/8, 4 min., followed by an interval
of 2 min.
4 sequences of each 2 min. BF.SYM., 400 µs, 10 Hz, frequency sweep 25 Hz, sweep
cycle 12/12, followed by interval of 1 min.
IF, 2,5 kHz, AMF10 Hz, 1,5 min.
6. Sensation:
Sequences of relatively short, not gradually increasing/decreasing stimulation, followed
by sequences with alternating rising and falling stimulation. Interrupted by intervals of
different duration. Strong vibrations during first and final part.
7. Intensity level:
First 90 seconds: adjust intensity until a strong vibrating sensation is felt. Than adjust
intensity level (during contraction phase) until a smooth tetanic contraction occurs.
Discontinue treatment as soon as contraction strength drops.

SINGULAR PROGRAMME (MF)
1. General:
Simple programme for non-specific muscle strengthening.
2. Indication:
In conditions where an increment of muscle force is required for non-injured and/or
fully recovered muscles.
3. Treatment time:
15 minutes
4. Remarks:
No DC component, the risk for electrochemical damage (chemical burn) is minimal.
5. Programme:
10 sequences of each 1 min. IF, 2,5 kHz, AMF 20 Hz, frequency sweep 65 Hz, sweep
cycle 1/1, contraction rhythm 1/4/1/14, followed by an interval of 30 seconds.
6. Sensation:
Sequence of gradually increasing and decreasing stimulation (fast ramp-up and fast
ramp-down) followed by a long interval time.
7. Intensity level:
Adjust intensity level (during contraction phase) until a smooth tetanic contraction
occurs. Do not increase intensity any further during operation.

PROGRAMME BASED ON 'RUSSIAN STIMULATION'
1. General:
Intensive programme for muscle strengthening by means of interrupted medium fre-
quency current. The training itself is started with and terminated by a muscle relaxation
programme ('warming-up' and 'cooling-down').
2. Indication:
In conditions where an increment of muscle force is required for healthy or fully recov-
ered muscles.
3. Treatment time:
23 minutes.
4. Remarks:
No DC component, the risk for electrochemical damage (chemical burn) is minimal.
5. Programme:
IF, 2,5 kHz, AMF 10 Hz, 1,5 min.
8 sequences of each 1½ min. RS, 2,5 kHz, 50 Hz, ratio 1:1, contraction rhythm 1/7/1/
9, followed by an interval of 1 minute.
IF, 2,5 kHz, AMF 10 Hz, 1,5 min.
6. Sensation:
Sequences of fast, powerful contractions, interrupted by intervals. Strong vibrations at
the start and at the end of the programme.
7. Intensity level:
First 90 seconds: adjust intensity until a strong vibrating sensation is felt. Than adjust
intensity level (during contraction phase) until patient's tolerance level. Discontinue
treatment if contraction strength weakens.
