Safety information
The LED rope light may only be connected
to other GEV LED rope lights if it is
disconnected from the power supply.
Check to ensure that the LED rope light is
volt-free! (fi g. A)
All warranty claims will be null and void in the
event of any damage or loss caused by failure to
observe these operating instructions. We accept
no liability for any consequential losses or damage.
We accept no liability for any personal injury or
material damage caused by improper use or by
failure to observe the safety information. In such
cases all warranty claims will be null and void. For
reasons of safety and CE approval, only GEV LED
rope light system parts may be used. The use of
components from third party suppliers is not
permitted
1. Do not connect when the rope light is in the
package.
2. Only lay/install when disconnected from the
power supply.
3. Suitable for outdoor and indoor use! (IP44)
4. If the connection cable, the mains plug or
any other part of the rope light is damaged,
the rope light may no longer be used.
Exchange the defect parts for original
GEV system parts.
5. Do not use sharp or pointed objects to secure
the light.
6. Do not secure the rope light to moving objects
such as doors, windows, etc.
7. Do not hang or secure any further objects to
the rope light.
8. It is essential to ensure that the mains cable is
not subject to mechanical strain (i.e. pulling).
9. Ensure that the minimum bending radius of
13 cm is observed, i.e. if you bend the rope
light into a circle, the diameter must not
be smaller than 26 cm.

Connection
Plug the pinned connector (fi g. B) of the LED
rope light into the female socket of the mains
connection cable or fl ashing light controller and
carefully screw these together.
If you need to connect up several GEV LED rope
lights, remove the end cap and insert the pinned
connector of the extension set into the female
socket of the LED rope light being extended.
Again, screw the connecting parts together
carefully. The end of the last LED rope light must
be fi tted with an end cap (fi g. C).
You can easily combine GEV LED rope lights of
different colours together.
For technical reasons, same-colour LEDs
may not be exactly the same colour,
depending on the date of production.
This does not constitute a product fault and is not
covered by the guarantee.
Operating test (fi g. D)
When all LED rope light segments are connected
to the mains connection cable or the fl ashing
light controller and the end cap is screwed in
place,
check
the
LED
rope
light
ensure it is working properly. Insert the plug into
a mains socket. If all segments light up, the LED
rope light set is working properly and can be
laid once disconnected from the power supply.
If one segment does not work, check the interface
at that point.

connected?

Replace LED rope light segment.
Flashing light controller
The fl ashing light controller features over 8 lighting
programs: continuous, fl ashing (7 programs) and
dimming. To change program, press Button 1.

Consignes de sécurité
La connexion de la guirlande lumineuse
à DEL avec d'autres guirlandes lumineu-
ses à DEL GEV doit se faire hors de ten-
sion. Vérifi ez que la guirlande lumineuse à DEL soit
bien hors de tension ! (fi g. A)
Tout recours en garantie est annulé en cas
d'endommagements résultant de la non observation
de ce mode d'emploi ! Nous déclinons toute
responsabilité pour les dommages consécutifs !
Nous déclinons toute responsabilité pour les
dommages matériels ou corporels résultant d'une
manipulation inappropriée ou de la non observation
des consignes de sécurité. Dans ces cas-là, tout
recours en garantie est annulé. Pour des raisons
de sécurité et d'homologation, seuls peuvent
être utilisés des composants de systèmes pour
guirlande lumineuse à DEL GEV. L'utilisation de
composants d'autres fournisseurs est prohibée.

derni er ne doit plus être utilisé. Remplacez les
composants défectueux par des composants
de système GEV d'origine.
5. N'utilisez pas d'objet pointus ou tranchants
pour fi xer la guirlande lumineuse !
6. Ne fi xez pas la guirlande lumineuse sur des
objets amovibles, p. ex. portes, fenêtres ou si
milaire !
7. N'accrochez ou ne fi xez pas d'autres objets à
la guirlande lumineuse.
8. Veillez impérativement à ce que le cordon
d'alimentation électrique ne soit soumis à
aucune contrainte mécanique (p. ex. traction) !
9. Respectez le rayon de courbure minimum de
13 centimètres, ceci signifi e que si vous formez
un cercle, le diamètre ne doit pas être inférieur
à 26 centimètres !

Branchements
Vissez soigneusement le connecteur mâle (fi g. B)
du cordon lumineux LED sur la prise adéquate du
câble d'alimentation ou du clignoteur.
Si vous souhaitez relier entre eux plusieurs
cordons lumineux LED GEV, ôtez le capu-
chon et branchez le connecteur mâle du kit de
jonction sur l'embout adéquat du cordon lumineux
à prolonger. Ici encore, vissez soigneusement
les connecteurs. L'extrémité du dernier cordon
lumineux LED doit impérativement être protégée
par un capuchon (fi g. C).
Vous pouvez relier entre eux des cordons
lumineux LED GEV de différentes couleurs.
Pour des raisons techniques, des LED de
même couleur peuvent affi cher, selon leur
date
de
fabrication,
différentes.
Il ne s'agit en aucun cas d'un défaut entrant dans
le cadre de la garantie.
Test de fonctionnement (fi g. D)
Une fois les cordons lumineux reliés au câble
d'alimentation ou au clignoteur et le capuchon
posé, vérifi ez le bon fonctionnement de l'ensemble
en le raccordant au secteur. Si tous les segments
s'allument, votre montage est correct : coupez le
courant et mettez les cordons lumineux en place.
Si un segment ne fonctionne pas, il convient de
vérifi er la liaison correspondante.
— La fi che et la douille sont-elles bien reliées
l'une à l'autre ?
— Contact endommagé dans la fi che ? >>>
Remplacer le segment de guirlande
lumineuse à DEL.
Clignoteur
Le clignoteur offre 8 programmes : allumage
continu, clignotement (7 programmes) et variation.
Pour passer d'un programme à l'autre, appuyez
sur le bouton 1.
