Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance before you start cleaning it.
Never immerse the appliance or the jug in water.
1. Clean the outside of the coffee maker with a moist cloth.
2. Detach the filter holder.
3. Clean the jug and the permanent filter in hot water with some
washing-up liquid.
Note: Do not attempt to clean the inside of water tank, as this will leave a
residue of lint and may clog your coffee maker, simply rinse with cold water
periodically.
4.
Do not put the jug or any accessories in the dishwasher.
Descaling
Regular descaling will prolong the life of the appliance and will guarantee
optimal brewing results for a long time.
In case of normal use (two full jugs of coffee every day), descale the coffee
maker:
*once every month if you are using hard water;
*once every 4 months if you are using soft water.
Turn to your local water board for information about the water hardness in
your area.
1
Fill the water tank half full with water and a liquid descaler. Do not
use a powder descaler! You can also use white vinegar (4% acetic
acid).
2
Let the appliance complete two brewing cycles.
3
Let the appliance complete two more brewing cycles with fresh, cold
water to remove all liquid descaler or vinegar residues.
4
Clean the separate parts (see chapter 'Cleaning').
