A) OUTPUT - XLR
CT-1 MKIII
Unbalanced output, with signal polarity indicated on the rear panel. (1 GND = ground, 2 signal, 3
GND = ground).

Balanced output, with signal polarity indicated on the rear panel. (1 GND= ground, 2 = (+) hot, 3 = (-)

Each output has its own limiter. The limiter threshold can be adjusted at the output by way of the
internal mini-DIP switch according to the input sensitivity of the amplifier. The controllers are factory adjusted
as follows:
The controllers can also be adjusted for use with other amplifiers. The mini-DIP position marked
"adjust" (on the circuit board), includes a variable resistor for each output.
B) INPUTS - XLR
The controllers feature balanced inputs. The signal polarity is indicated on the rear panel, (1GND =
ground, 2 = (+) hot, 3 = (-) cold), as shown in Fig. 2.3.
The polarity is according to AES14-1992 (ANSI S4.48-1992)
CT-1 MKIII
The nominal impedance of the inputs is 79.2 kΩ in balanced mode. If you wish to use the inputs
unbalanced, connect pin 3 (-) with pin 1 (GND). In this case the nominal input impedance would be 39.6 kΩ.

The nominal impedance of the inputs is 100 kΩ in balanced mode. If you wish to use the inputs
unbalanced, connect pin 3 (-) with pin 1 (GND). In this case the nominal input impedance would be 50 kΩ.
C) MAINS CABLE
AC connection of the controllers to the mains is accomplished through a cable, which can be
disconnected from the unit (HO5VV-F 3x0.75 mm
other end with a female 3-pole connector CEE22, (an IEC320 10A type connector).
Nominal operational voltage is indicated on the rear panel and can be either 120 VAC or 240 VAC.
