Disposal and recycling
This unit has been produced largely from materials that can be
disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner and that
can be properly recycled. After use the unit will be taken back
for reuse or recycling, provided that it is handed back in a
condition that corresponds with its use having been in com-
pliance with the intended use. Any non-recyclable parts of the
set will be disposed of in the proper manner.
All packaging materials can and should be recycled.
At the end of its service life this product must not be
disposed of via the normal household waste, but
must be surrendered to a collecting centre for the
recycling of electrical and electronic appliances.
The symbol on the product, the instructions for use
and the packing draw attention to this.
The materials are recyclable in accordance with
their labelling. By reusing, recycling the materials or
performing other forms of recovery of waste
appliances you will make an important contribution
to the protection of our environment.
Please enquire with the disposal agency respon-
sible at your local municipal council.
Cleaning
Before you start any cleaning, turn off the unit and disconnect
the mains plug from the plug outlet.
Cleaning the screen
Use a mild detergent with a soft cloth to clean the screen.
The cleaning agent must not contain any ketones (e.g.
acetone) or ethyl alcohol.
Do not use any abrasives!
Cleaning the casing
Do not use any chemical solvents or cleaning agents for
cleaning the casing, otherwise the surface of the unit could get
damaged.
If you clean the surface of the casing with a wet cloth, drops
of water can get inside the unit, which will cause malfunctions.
Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment for clean-
ing the ventilating openings.

This device is a class A equipment. It can generate
EMI interferences when used in residential areas; in
this case the owner may be requested to perform
adequate actions to counteract the EMI emissions
and has to take over the financial responsibility
required for the adequate actions.

Conformity with the requirements is certified by the designa-
tion
on the product.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for operation outside
of the operating conditions described in these operating
instructions. Moreover, your product liability and warranty
rights shall lapse as a result of this.
In the event of any faults
If the unit is damaged, disconnect the mains plug from the plug
outlet.
If the unit emits any smoke, an unpleasant odour or any
unusual noises, pull the mains plug out of the plug outlet.
Proceed in the same way, if the unit is no longer able to display
a picture after it has been switched on or during operation. Do
not attempt to continue operating the display in this condition.
Under no circumstances should you open the unit yourself.
Inside the display there are no parts that can be serviced or
replaced by you. Contact our service department.
Batteries
When inserting batteries, ensure that the polarity (+ / -) tallies
with the markings on the remote control.
When disposing of used batteries, please comply with
governmental regulations or environmental public
instruction's rules that apply in your country / area.
Do not expose the batteries to excessive heat, do not throw
them into a fire, do not recharge them and do not attempt to
open them; they could leak or even explode.
Please remove the batteries from the remote control, if the unit
is not to be used for a long period of time.
