4.7 Material damage
Caution! To prevent material damage, follow the
instructions below.
• Place the appliance only on a level, dry and
non-slip surface so that the appliance can

neither fall over or slip off.

1. Take
the
individual
packaging.
2. Check that the individual parts are complete
(see "1.3 Scope of supply" on page 17) and
undamaged.
3. Clean the appliance thoroughly before using
it for the first time (see "7. Cleaning" on
page 22).
4. Set up base 1 on a firm, level, non-slip, heat-
resistant surface so that it cannot tip over.

• Do not place the appliance on a hot cooker
hotplate.
• Do not expose the appliance to direct
sunlight, as UV rays and overheating may
make the plastic brittle.
• Always hold the appliance by the sides (see
Fig. F). If you hold it by the ring insert, the
appliance might tip over or fall down.
Caution! Do not operate the appliance without
ring insert 2. Glass dish 4 and bottles or jars
might explode if you place bottles or jars directly
on glass dish 4.
5. Place ring insert 2 in base 1 (see Fig. A).
Ensure that ring insert 2 is positioned
correctly.
6. Turn dial 8 to the far left.
7. Connect the mains plug to a suitable mains
socket (see "3. Technical data" on page 17).
The appliance is now operational.
