N.B. When the engine speed display is
flashing,it indicates that the current engine
speed is unsuitable for mowing grass.
4. Clock (if fitted) (Fig. 16.J). Indicates
the time in 24 hour/day mode.
To set-up the clock, turn the ignition
key to the «ON» position and, without
starting the engine, proceed as follows:
– press the «MODE» button repeatedly
until the clock icon appears;
– press and hold the «MODE» button until
the first two digits (hour) start to flash;
– use the buttons on the right hand side of
the display (Fig. 16.K, L) to increase or
decrease the value by one unit at a time;
– press and hold the «MODE»
button until the other two digits
(minutes) start to flash;
– use the buttons on the right hand side
of the display to increase or decrease
the value by one unit at a time;
– press the «MODE» button to
conclude the operation.
N.B. The clock is powered by a back-
up battery; when this battery goes flat,
contact an Authorised Service Centre.
B. Auxiliary functions
1. Grass catcher full indicator light (if
fitted) (Fig. 16.M). Together with the
intermittent acoustic signal, indicates
that the grass catcher bag is full.
2. Oil indicator light (if fitted) (Fig. 16.N).
Indicates engine lubrication anomalies:
if this indicator light switches on, switch
the engine off immediately and check
the oil level; if the problem persists,
contact an Authorised Service Centre.
3. Fuel indicator (if fitted) (Fig. 16.O).
There are two types of fuel indicator:
a. Level indicator = indicates the
level of fuel in the tank, according
to the following criteria:
Tank between full and half full
Tank between half full and reserve
Reserve
b. Reserve indicator = flashes
when reserve tank is in use
N.B. The reserve tank holds
approximately 2 litres of fuels, which is
sufficient to operate the machine for 30-40
minutes at nominal engine speed.
6. USING THE MACHINE
The safety regulations to follow
are described in chap. 2. Strictly
comply with these instructions to
avoid serious risks or hazards.
6.1 PREPARATION
Before starting to mow, it is necessary to carry
out several checks and operations to ensure you
can work efficiently and in maximum safety.
1. ensure the machine is level and
resting safely on the ground:
2. select the appropriate operating
mode (par. 6.1.2);
6.1.1 Filling with oil and fuel
IMPORTANT
supplied without engine oil or fuel.
Before using the machine check for fuel and
the oil level (par. 7.2, par. 7.3). For refuelling
and oil top-up methods and precautions
follow the instructions given in (par. 7.2,
par. 7.3) and in the engine handbook.
6.1.2 Seat adjustment
The sliding seat may be set to one
of six different positions.
To adjust it, lift the handle (fig. 17.A), slide
the seat and lock it in the desired position.
