Opening the driver channel:
Strike the tool at an angle as in fig. 1 so that the guide plate
(c) is pushed out of place.
Closing the driver channel:
Strike the tool vertically as in fig. 2 so that the guide
plate is pushed back into the working position.
The smooth running of the nosepiece must be
checked!
When connecting the tool, it must contain no
fasteners.

TROUBLES AND REMEDIES
Disconnect nailer from hose before servicing. When connecting the tool, it must contain no fasteners.
TROUBLE
Air leaking from exhaust
port.
Blow does not take place.
Idle impact or fasteners
(staples or nails) are not
fully driven in.
Guide plate (c) is loose on
the tool or the nosepiece (b)
is jammed.
Nailer operates too slowly.
Set of wear-and-tear parts
During repair replacement of parts the special grease (code no. 68 3868) must be applied to the surface of
the cylinder and the counter surfaces of the O-rings.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
O-rings (e, f, h, i) damaged or dirty.
Control parts move with difficulty
after long term storage.
Bushing (p) damaged.
Tool exhausts considerably in the
lowest position of the piston, O-ring
(t), bumper (v), worn or damaged. No
backstroke.
Tool without sufficient lubrication.
Air pressure too low.
Tool jumps.
Connection hose too long. Diameter
reduced in the air line or in the
maintenance unit (fall of pressure).
Piston completely (r) damaged.
Tip of driver worn.
Penetration setting wrongly adjusted.
Misshapen fasteners have pushed
the guide plate up or jammed the
nosepiece.
Bad or wrong fastener strips (strip is
jammed and thus not being pushed
forward).
Two different fasteners, nails and
staples, present in magazine at the
same time.
O-rings (e, f, h, i) or valve slide (g)
damaged or requiring lubrication.
Safety bracket (a) or base (b) sluggish.
Control parts frozen-up.

ACCESSORIES
Balancer for 30-55 N (3.0-5.5 kp),
cable travel 2.0 m (6.5 ft)
Suspension
Piston for finishing nails
Base for weather boarding
REMEDY
Clean or replace parts.
Increase air pressure and make some
trial blows. Then reduce air pressure
immediatel .
Exchange bushing, grease bushing
and driver.
Replace damaged parts.
Clean the interior pieces, grease the
counter surfaces of the O-rings and
the surface of the cylinder. Check the
lubricator.
Adjust to correct air pressure (min. 5
bar / 0,5 MPa).
Press tool more firmly onto the
workpiece.
Investigate and correct trouble.
Replace piston. At the same time
check bumper (v) for wear.
Re-grind the face of the driver tip such
that it is square to its axis.
Set correctly according, see 5.
Eliminate the obstruction, see 6.
Use proper KMR strips.
When changing over the different
fastener, empty magazine completely.
Replace damaged part and apply
grease to the counter surfaces.
Eliminate the jamming cause.
Check operation of water separator.
