manufacturer, an authorised service centre or similarly qualified per-
sons in order to avoid hazards. 6 - Avoid contact with your skin while
the curling iron is still operating: the high temperatures could cause
burns. 7 - Keep the appliance and its electric cord away from sources
of heat and from heat-sensitive surfaces (plastic, vinyl fabrics, etc.). 8 -
Do not hold or pick up the appliance by its power cord; after use, do
not wind the cord around the appliance when it is still hot.
9 - If the electric cord shows any signs of damage or wear, it should
be replaced by specialised personnel only. Do not use fittings and/or
accessories that have been modified or that have not been approved
by the manufacturer. 10 - Unplug the appliance when not in use and
allow it to cool down before storing it in a safe place. To disconnect
the appliance, unplug the electric cord from the wall socket. 11 - To
clean the appliance, always disconnect it from the power socket first
and let it cool completely. When cleaning, do not use aggressive
products containing phenylphenol. 12 - This appliance should only
beused for its intended purpose. 13 - For additional protection, the
