STARTER CHECK-UP
1. For this check-up, the engine has to be in working temperature and the battery has to be in
perfect condition.
2. Connect the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp with the negative terminal.
3. Run a stress test.
4. Monitor the measured voltage during the test.
5. If the voltage keeps decreasing after approx. 10 sec., this check-up is not available.
6. Take notes of the measured voltage, if it levels at a particular reading after approx. 10 sec.
Caution: Do not operate the load switch during the next step(step 7).
7. Start your vehicle (a second person is necessary) and compare the measured voltage during the
start with the measurement from step 6.
EXAMPLE
If you read a stress test measurement of approx. 10.4V (step 6) and a measurement of 8.2V while

starting your vehicle, there is no problem with your ignition system.
In case of a lower reading than 8.2V, your ignition system is malfunctioning.

Environmental Protection
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools,
accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and
disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
Disposal
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU
Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. When the product is no
longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way.
Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information or give the
product for disposal to BGS technic or to the dealer where you purchased the
product.
