BIG WHEEL DAMPENER REPLACEMENT

Tools Required:
• Bungee Cords
• Needle Nose Pliers
• Standard Screwdriver
• 3/8" Drive Torque Wrench (ft-lb)
• 7/16"-20 Bolt
Procedure:
1 . Pump the stretcher all the way up .
2 . Raise the left and right siderails to the up and latched position .
3 . Using bungee cords, raise the base hood and support .
4 . Put the unit into neutral .
5 . Using needle nose pliers, remove the big wheel drive link rue clip and clevis pin from the lift cam and flip the lift
cam out of the way .
6 . Using needle nose pliers, remove the rue clip and clevis pin from the gas cylinder .
7 . Using your hand, grab the lift cam and pull it upward with the gas cylinder .
8 . Using needle nose pliers, remove the rue clip and clevis pin from the dampener arm .
9 . Using needle nose pliers, remove the rue clip and washer and discard the gas cylinder .
10 . Reverse the above steps for installation of the new brake timing link .
11 . Verify proper operation of the unit before returning it to service .
