Operation Instruction (Ultrasonic Transmitter)
1. Turn on EM282-T. If the "POWER" LED does not light, replace the battery.
2. Place EM282-T inside the compartment to be checked, then close the compartment. This ultrasonic
sound emitted by EM282-T will pass through any orifice or faulty seal.
3. Scan the outside surface of the compartment by using EM282-R, the ultrasonic sound escaping from
the compartment will be detected, and crack or orifice of the compartment can be quickly located and
pin pointed.
4. When the check is completed, turn off EM282-T.
Note
1. To avoid any damage to hearing, don't set headphone's volume too high.
2. Don't bump the device.
3. Don't tamper with any circuit.
4. Keep the device clean and dry.
5. Don't use the device near an electrical appliance which emits electromagnetic
wave; Otherwise, the device will give wrong indications.
6. If you don't use the devices for a long period, remove the battery.
7. Do not operate device if the leaking gas or liquid is explosive or flammable.
8. Do not operate device around explosive or flammable gas, vapor, or dust.
9. In areas where leaking gases are not sufficiently pressurized, there is no
ultrasonic sound for detection, don't use Passive Mode to perform leak detection
and location.
10. lt is recommended to replace the battery after EM282-R has been used for 10
hours. To replace battery, set the power switch to " OFF" position, slide out the battery cover, replace
the old battery with a new one of the same type (9V, 6F22 or equivalent). Reinstall the battery cover.
Environmental Protection
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and
packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is
compatible with the environment.
Disposal
Do not dispose battery in household waste.
Batteries should be disposed of in a responsible manner,
they must be disposed at appropriate collection point.
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. When the product is no longer required, it must
be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority
for recycling information or give the product for disposal to BGS technic or to the dealer
where you purchased the product.
