CHECKING AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE STEERING FREE PLAY
TIRES
Only mount tires that are approved by SHERCO.
Any other tire can have a negative impact on the motorcycle's handling.
• To ensure your safety, damaged tires must be replaced immediately.
• Smooth tires have a negative impact on the handling of the motorcycle, in particular on wet pavement
and off-road riding.
• Insufficient pressure causes abnormal wear and overheating of the tire.
• It is recommended that tires of the same profile be installed on both the front and rear wheel.
• Only check the pressure when the tires are cold.
• Make sure the tire pressure is maintained within the specified limits. Mentioned (p.66).
Periodically check the steering free play by moving
the fork back and forth.
In the case where there is play detected, adjust as
follows:
- loosen the screws

- loosen the nut
.

- remove the free play by tightening the ring
Once the free play is adjusted then tightennut
then screws

NOTE
The correct setting must not cause any irregularity during the
rotation of the handlebars.
