its locking tabs. This connector will be black in color.
7. Position the T-Connector harness ends with the red wires
between the separated connector and the tail light housing.
Firmly press the connectors together until the locking tabs
engage.
8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 for the housings center (gray) connector
and the T-Connector ends with the green wires.
9. Carefully pull the grommet around the vehicles tail light
wiring harness away from the vehicle body. Slit the grommet
slightly from the center out to allow the T-Connectors 4-Flat
trailer plug to slide through the grommet. Route the 4-Flat
connector through the access hole and into the jack storage
compartment. The 4-Flat Connector can be stored in the jack
compartment when not in use. Replace the grommet into the
access hole.
10.Locate a clean accessible mounting location on the vehicle
near the wiring harness ends within reach of the white wire and
grounding eyelet. Remove any debris or undercoating to expose
a clean metal surface and drill a 7/64" hole.
Caution: Take care not to drill through the body or any
exposed surface.
11.Mount the White wire using the ground screw and eyelet
provided.
12.Confirm correct operation with a test light or by using a
trailer.
13.Return the tail light housings to their original positions,
taking care not to pinch or damage any wires. Secure the
housings using the fasteners removed during step 2.
