IMPORTANT:

To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs and
adjustments should be performed by our authorized service center using factory
approved parts.

STORAGE

TEMPERATURE – Temperature extremes limit the useful life of the battery. The
best storage place is one that is cool and dry. Store the tool away from direct
sunlight, heating pipes, furnaces, etc. Do not store where temperatures go below
+40 F or above +120 F.
CHARGING – It is recommended that the Grass Shear is always stored while
having the charger plugged in. The unit's charger is designed to provide a trickle
charge that will properly maintain and not harm the battery. If you wish to store the
unit in the off-season not using its charger, you should charge the unit for 20 hours
before storage. .
PREVENTING CORROSION – Fertilizers and other garden chemicals contain
compounds that greatly accelerate the corrosion of metals. Do not store the
appliance on or adjacent to fertilizers or chemicals. Prior to storage and after each
use clean and oil blades as described in this manual.

ACCESSORIES

Extension Handle Kit is available.
Note: Accessories are sold separately. Only use Original Power approved
accessories with the Grass Shear. The use of non-approved accessories could be
hazardous and will void the warranty.
BATTERY RECYCLING – To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose
of this product's NICKEL-CADMIUM (NiCd) BATTERY properly. Local, state and
federal laws prohibit disposal of NiCd batteries in ordinary trash. Original Power is
a participant in the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) recycling
program. We have paid a fee to allow for these batteries to be properly disposed of
via a RBRC collection site (various retailers are also RBRC participants). Please call
the RBRC toll free number of (800) 822-8837 or visit the RBRC web site of
www.rbrc.com to fi nd a battery collection center near you.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT – You may order batteries directly from Original Power
by calling (800) 540-5688.
BLADE REPLACEMENT – Replacement blades are available, please call (800)
540-5688.
WARNING:
When replacing the batteries, the proper polarity or direction must
be observed. Be careful to follow installation instructions that are shipped with the
