Installation Instructions
Inspection
Upon reception, inspect the equipment and
notify both the carrier and the insurance
company, in writing, of any possible damage.
Environmental protection
Eliminate packing in accordance
with the regulations in force on
environmental conservation.
During installation and maintenance, keep
in mind that HFC-410A and oil POE are
used.
Contains greenhouse effect fluorided
gas covered by the Kyoto protocol.
For the type of gas and quantity per system,
see the identification plate. GWP (Global
Warming Potential): 2088.
Warning signs
These signs on the unit indicate potentially
dangerous conditions and their meaning
should be remembered and taken into
account.

Safety
Installation and maintenance operations
of this air conditioning system should be
carried out only by qualified and expert
personnel.
Periodical maintenance operations should
be carried out, such as cleaning the coils and
air filters, so as to keep unit performance at
an optimum.
Caution
This unit should be installed and used in
accordance with:
- Low Voltage Electrotechnical
Regulations.
- Safety Regulations for Cooling
Plants and Installations.
- Regulations on Pressure Equipment.
- Basic Construction Standards.
- Technical Construction Standards.
- Local ordinances.
Recommendations
Indoor unit
1. To distribute air throughout the room,
the air intake and outlet should be
uncovered.
2. Install at a location where it is easy to
connect to the outdoor unit.
3. Install at a location where condensed
water can be drained conveniently.
4. Avoid locations near heat sources, high
humidity or flammable gases.
5. Install at a location resistant enough to
bear the weight and vibrations of the
unit.
6. Make sure installation is in compliance
with minimum clearances.
7. Leave
enough
space
maintenance ease. Installation height
should be about 2.3 metres above floor
level.
8. Install at a height of over one metre from
other electrical household appliances such
as television sets, audio equipment, etc.
9. Select a location where it is easy to
change filters.
Outdoor unit
1. Select a location where the air discharge
and noise transmitted by the unit does
not bother neighbours.
2. Select a highly ventilated location.
3. Air
intake
and
outlet
obstructed.
4. Install at a location resistant enough to
bear the weight and vibrations of the
unit.
5. There can be no danger of flammable or
corrosive gases.
6. Make
sure
the
installation
the diverse recommendations in the
dimensions diagram.
Attention
Installation
at
locations can cause malfunction. If
unavoidable, contact your technical
service.
- Locations where oils are used.
- Locations with high salinity levels in the
environment.
- Locations exposed to sulphuric gases.
- Locations
generating
high
waves caused by radio equipment, medical
equipment, etc.
- Any
other
location
circumstances.

Installing the indoor unit

Attach the mounting plate to the wall. Tighten
screws lightly.
Level the mounting plate and then finish
tightening the screws (Fig. 8).
If the piping is to be at the rear of the unit,
drill a 50 mm. hole in the wall. The outer part
of this hole should be slightly lower than the
inner part (Figs. 9 and 13). Install the through
wall casing.
Refrigerant lines can be installed in different
positions (Fig. 12).
Install interconnecting and wiring piping,
with the central mounting plate at the rear
of the chassis.
Hang the top of the unit over the mounting
plate and press. Attach the indoor unit to the
mounting plate in final position. Bend piping
carefully, without distorting or obstructing it.
Pass unit piping and cables through the hole,
and hang the top of the indoor unit on the top
edge of the mounting plate (see Fig. 8).
Check to see the unit is attached properly by
moving it first to the left and then to the right.

Condensed water drain
The unit drain pipe is flexible and can be
installed in different positions. The drain line
should include an elbow (U-shaped) (Fig. 10).
Connect a plastic condensed water pipe with
a 12 mm. inner diameter.
The drain pipe should be attached to the
cooling lines with vinyl tape (see Figs.12).
Typical installation (Fig. 7)
In general terms, this drawing shows a
typical installation of this equipment. After
carrying out a drain test, apply vinyl tape
(Fig. 12) to join all pipes together.

Outdoor unit installation
Unit installation comprises:
- Unit mounting.
- Refrigerant tubing connections.
- Condensed water drain connections in
follows
heat pump units.
- Unit wiring.
Clearances, outdoor unit
the
following
A minimum clearance is required around
the units for the circulation of air and access
for maintenance servicing, as indicated in
the general dimensions.
Interconnection of the units
When installing Split units, the cooling
frequency
circuit should be completely leakproof after
mounting. This will help to obtain maximum
performance with minimum consumption, and
with
special
avoid serious damage to the unit. This is an
ecological precaution as well.
