4.2 Notes to the safety checks

4.2.1. Tools and auxiliary material required for the safety checks

Power cord
Handpieces
Dual-pedal footswitch
Safety tester for electrical safety

4.2.2. Visual inspection

Tensioning lever pump
D Open and close the tensioning lever of the pump several times.
✓ Limit with clear end points
✓ Locking levers are secure on the axis, no sliding/slipping when pressed against the limit
✓ No unusual grinding noises

4.2.3. Test for proper operation TFT devices

D Connect the power cord and switch the device on.
✓ While switched on the power switch has to be illuminated.
✓ The error message E11 No footswitch is displayed.
D Connect the footswitch.
✓ The error message E12 No motor is displayed.
D Connect a handpiece to the motor socket M1.
