THEY PROVIDE IMPORTANT INDICATIONS REGARDING
FUNCTIONALITY AND SAFETY FOR THE INSTALLATION, USE
AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PRODUCT.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
1.After removing the packaging, check
the appliance to ensure that there is no
visible damage that may have been
caused during transport. If in doubt, do
not use the appliance but contact an
authorised UFESA Service Centre.
2.Before connecting the appliance,
check that the data on the specification
plate correspond to those of the
electrical supply. The plate is positioned
on the appliance.
3.Do not use adapters, multiple sockets
and/or extension leads.
4.This appliance must be used
exclusively as a heating pad, as
indicated in the Instructions for Use.
Any other use is to be considered
dangerous. The manufacturer cannot
be held responsible for any damage
deriving from improper or incorrect use.
5.The use of any electrical appliance
must respect a few fundamental rules.
In particular:
-Never touch the appliance with wet or
damp hands.
-Never pull on the lead, or on the
appliance, to disconnect the plug from
the socket.

-Never expose the appliance to
atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc.).
6.Before any cleaning or maintenance
operations, disconnect the appliance
from the mains, disconnecting the plug
.
7.In the event of a breakdown and/or
malfunction of the appliance, turn it off
and do not tamper with it. For any repairs
contact an authorised UFESA Technical
Service Centre.
8.To avoid dangerous overheating, it is
advisable to unwind the lead completely
and to disconnect the plug from the
mains when the appliance is not in use.
9.The lead of this appliance must never
be replaced. If the lead is damaged, the
appliance must be scrapped.
10.When you decide not to use an
appliance of this type any longer, we
recommend that you render it
inoperative by cutting the lead, after
disconnecting the plug from the socket.
We also recommend that you render
innocuous any parts of the appliance
that might constitute a danger,
particularly for children who might use
the abandoned appliance as a toy.
11.Never immerse the appliance in
water.
12. Prolonged application at a high
temperature may burn the skin. Do not
fall asleep with the heating pad in
operation. Never pull the appliance by
the electric lead and never use the lead
as a grip.
This appliance is not designed to be
used in hospitals. Do not use the
appliance for the infirm, for young
children or people insensitive to heat.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CAUTION: This heating pad is fitted
with a special safety device which
automatically regulates the temperature,
inserting and interrupting the electrical
supply at regular intervals.
The temperature of the UFESA heating
pad is the maximum allowed by CEI
standards to guarantee the safety of the
user. The product provides the right
amount of warmth and not dangerous
heat.
Method of use
The control of the Ufesa heating pad
has 4 positions:
0 off
1 low temperature
2 intermediate temperature
3 high temperature
Before turning the heating pad on, check
that the control is on the 0 position, then
insert the plug into the socket.
For rapid heating turn the control to level
2; after a few minutes the heating pad
will already have reached a pleasant
degree of warmth.
Position it on the part of the body that
you wish to heat and select the desired
temperature. Do not use the appliance
to heat animals.
To obtain the best heating result, keep
the heating pad covered so that the heat
is not lost when the current is interrupted.
INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS
FOR WASHING
WASH THE REMOVABLE
COVER BY HAND (40°)
The heating pad is supplied with a
separate cover that can be washed by
hand in warm water (40°) after being
removed from the heating pad. We
recommend the use of a neutral
detergent.
IMPORTANT: the inside part of the
appliance cannot be washed or dry
cleaned.
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO
NOT USE THE HEATING PAD IF IT IS
DAMP.
STORAGE
AND
PERIODICAL
CHECKS
When the appliance is not in use, keep
it in a dry place and do not stand heavy
objects on it. Avoid creasing the
appliance.
Examine the appliance and the lead
frequently to verify any signs of wear
and tear. In the event of such wear and
tear, or of any malfunction, take the
appliance to an authorised Imetec
Technical Service Centre.
