6.2 DESCALING
Descaling with chemicals
To carry out a descaling with chemicals, operate as follows:
1) Screw the ends of the flexible hoses to the system to be descaled.
2) Connect the overflow hose to a suitable drain.
3) Connect the power supply cable to a single-phase 230 V / 50 Hz
socket.
4) Make sure the tank cap is open, to allow any fumes formed during
descaling to escape.
5) Set the valves as per Figure 3, add the chemical into the tank.
6) Circulate the chemical in the system circuit for approximately 5-10
minutes.
7) Once this time has passed, reverse the flow leaving the position of
valves as it is.
8) Should the chemical be changing its initial colour, it shall be refilled
immediately as exhausted.
9) Repeat the operations until the colour intensity of the flushing
solution is changing, for a minimum working time of 2-3 hours.
10) After descaling, open the dump to eliminate residual acid caused by
descaling and go to the next step (Neutralization after descaling).
Notice: Use descaling chemicals suitable for the system materials.

6.3 CLEANING NEW SYSTEMS WITH CHEMICAL LONG LIFE 300
To clean a new heating system, operate as follows:
1) Make sure the overflow hose is connected to a suitable drain.
2) Make sure the power supply cable is connected to a single-phase 230
V / 50 Hz socket.
3) Make sure the tank cap is open to visually check product level in the
tank.
4) Set the valves and flow reverser as per Figure 1. Open the clean water
inlet tap and switch on the pump.

5) Circulate the chemical in the system for approximately 2 minutes to
remove working and welding residues, greases and oils which may be
present in new heating systems.
6) After 2 minutes set the valves and flow reverser as per Figure 2.

4) Make sure the tank cap is open to visually check the level of the
chemical Long Life 710 in the tank.
5) Set the valves and flow reverser as Figure 3, add the biocide-sanitizer
chemical into the tank (add tap water if necessary) by making sure
the liquid level in the tank remains between the MIN and MAX levels
marked on the tank.
6) Circulate the chemical in the system circuit for approximately 5-10
minutes.
7) After 5-10 minutes, leave the position of valves as it is, reverse the
flow and circulate the chemical in the system circuit for further 5-10
minutes approximately.
8) Repeat the operations for a minimum working time of 2-3 hours.
9) After power flushing with the chemical, open the dump to eliminate
the residual chemical after flushing.
