3. RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
REGARDING THE USE OF THE PRODUCT
AND VEHICLE SEAT
WARNING! It is important to respect the fol-
lowing limitations and requirements for use
concerning the product and vehicle seat: your
safety will not be guaranteed otherwise.
• This child car seat is approved for use only
for children weighing between 9 and 36 kg
(from 9-12 months up to approximately 12
years of age).
• The vehicle seat must be fitted with a 3-point
static or 3-point retractable safety belt com-
pliant with UN/ECE Regulation No. 16, or oth-
er equivalent standards (Fig. 1).
WARNING! In case of use in vehicles
equipped with rear seat belts with integrated
airbags (inflatable belts):
- In Gr. 1 (9-18 kg) the interaction of the inflat-
able portion of the vehicle's belt with this
child restraint can result in serious injury or
death! Do not install this child restraint using
an inflatable seat belt.
- In Gr. 2/3 (15-36 kg) Follow the vehicle man-
ufacturer's instructions for use of inflatable
seat belt with the child restrain system.
• Never fit the child car seat to a seat that is only
equipped with a 2-point safety belt (Fig. 2).
• The child car seat can be fitted on the front
passenger seat or any of the back seats. Nev-
er use this child car seat on side-facing or
rear-facing car seats (Fig. 3).
• This product is specifically designed to be
used as a child car seat; it should not be used
indoors.
• To ensure correct installation, check that the
car seat headrest does not interfere with the
child seat's backrest.
• Make sure that the buckle of the car's three-
point belt is not too high. Otherwise, try to
install the child seat on another seat (Fig. 7A
and 31A).
4. FITTING THE CHILD CAR SEAT IN
THE CAR AND SEATING CHILDREN IN
GROUP 1 (9-18 KG)
WARNING! The text and figures of these in-
structions are for the installation of the child
car seat on the right back seat. When fitting
the child car seat in other position these op-
erations should in any case be carried out in
the same order.
1. Place the child car seat on the chosen for-
ward-facing car seat (Fig. 4).
WARNING! Check that the car seat headrest
does not interfere with the child car seat: it
must not push it forward (Fig. 5).
2. Pass the vehicle belt through the slot at the
rear (Fig. 6).
3. Fasten the vehicle belt to the buckle, ensur-
ing that the waist strap passes through the
waist belt slot Gr. 1 (O) (Fig. 7 - Fig. 7A)
4. Pass the diagonal strap of the belt through
the diagonal belt slot Gr. 1 (M) (Fig. 8).
5. Pull the car safety belt firmly, ensuring that
the child car seat is correctly attached to the
car seat (Fig. 9).
6. Shut the belt-lock clamp (N) (Fig. 10).
7. Check that the child car seat is fitted firmly
in place and correctly attached to the ve-
hicle seat; check that the seat belt is tight.
If the child car seat is not tightly and safely
fitted to the car seat, repeat the installation.
WARNING!
• Always check that the safety belt is distribut-
ed evenly and that it is not twisted.
• NEVER fit the car safety belt in any way not
illustrated in these instructions.
When the child car seat is fitted correctly, fol-
low the instructions below to seat your child:
8. Press restraint harness adjustment but-
ton H and, at the same time, hold and pull
the lower part of the child seat belt in your
direction as far as possible (Fig. 11).
9. Unfasten the child car seat harnesses by
pressing the buckle button (F) and place
them at the sides (Fig. 12).
WARNING! The booster cushion can be used
for children of up to around 11 kg.
10. Make sure your child is seated comforta-
bly in the child car seat, adjust the harness
straps around their body without pulling
them too tight, join the two harness straps
(Fig. 13) and click them into the buckle
(Fig. 13A).
11. Use the headrest and harness adjust-
ment button (A) on the top of the back-
rest to adjust the height of the child seat
headrest (Fig. 14) so that the harness straps
