Telephone Console BMW roadster (E36/7)
Intended for use in BMW dealer organisation only.
Installation time approx. 1.5 hours which can vary
depending on the condition and equipment of the
vehicle.
Knowledge of the body electrical system is
required.

Particular care must be taken during
installation to ensure that cables and wires are not
kinked, bent or damaged.
These installations instructions apply to LHD
vehicles only.
When installing the cable for the handset, it may be
necessary to cut the centre console to ensure the
telephone cable is not trapped.
Subject to technical modifications.

Set of screwdrivers for recessed crosshead screw
Drilling machine
1/4 inch set of sockets
Water-soluble pen
Side cutter
6.5 mm Ø twist drill

– Disconnect battery
– Remove radio
– Remove centre console with heating controls
and all accessories

3. Preparing Centre Console
F 36 84 124 B
Unscrew self-tapping screws (1) from side web (2)
of centre console (3).
Detach right side section from console.
F 36 84 126 B
Remove protective film from self-adhesive
template (1).
Adhere template (1) on side section (2).
Drill through marked holes (3) with 6.5 mm Ø twist
drill.
4. Installing Telephone Console
F 36 84 127 B
Place console bracket (1) on prepared side
section (2) and firmly tighten with hexagon
screws (3).
5. General Notes
Reassemble vehicle in the reverse order of
removal.
Reconnect battery.
Print out fault memory.
