If your telephone doesn't work...
General information
Make sure that the telephone cable isn't damaged and is correctly inserted.
Disconnect any additional equipment, extension cables and other telepho-
nes. If the telephone works then, this indicates that the fault is caused by
another piece of equipment.
Try to connect your telephone to a neighbor's line, for example. If it works
there, this indicates that there may be a fault on your telephone line. Call
the service provider to report the fault.
The telephone doesn't work

Make sure that the mains adapter is correctly inserted into the
telephone and into the mains socket.

Make sure that the telephone cable is correctly inserted into the
telephone and into the telephone socket.
•
Connect another telephone to your telephone line. If it works,
it indicates that your telephone is probably faulty.
•
Only use the original cable or a telephone cable with an international
configuration.
Maintenance and care
The telephone is maintenance-free. If the telephone becomes dirty, wipe it
occasionally with a soft, damp cloth. Never use alcohol, thinner or other
organic solvents.
The telephone should never be exposed to sunlight for a long time and
should also be protected from intense heat, moisture or strong mechanical
vibrations.
