Some TRAPP shredders, whether single- or three
phase, are provided with dual voltage motors,
and come out from the factory without electric
connection, so that the customer may select the
connection type, according to voltage provided in
the local power grid.
All the TRAPP shredders, with gasoline-powered
engine, come out from factory mounted without oil
in the engine and without gasoline, before turning
the engine on, the following information must be
verified and followed, according to page 49.
Shredders TRF 60, TRF 70, TRF 80 and TRF 80M,
are provided with a 127 and 220 V voltage selector.
Check if the voltage indicated in the selector is
compatible with the power grid voltage before
plugging the engine in, if necessary adjust the
voltage as indicated on page 58 of this manual.
In order to perform the correct connection, the data
indicated in the motor's identification plate and the
numbering printed in the power cord insulation
itself, when the shredder is provided with an electric
motor.

Models TRF 300 and TRF 90 are provided with an
IP22 motor mounted uncovered in the shredder's
frame; to connect the wires, check the motor's
identification plate and proceed with the connection
in the on/off switch wire.
The other electric models are provided with an
IP00 motor and are housed in a plastic protection;
to proceed with the wires connection according to
the local power grid, remove the plastic protection
as indicated on page 58 to have access to the motor,
the motor connection plate and the connecting
wires; after completing the wire connection, close
the protection again.
For shredders traded without motor, the minimum
power choice must follow the technical data
presented on page 48.
Note:
it is recommended that the connection of
the electric motors is conducted by a professional
electrician.
