mains in contact with the piece (2-3).
• The arc has now been established and the
current will reach the level of welding set be-
fore (4).
COMPLETING THE TIG SYSTEM
WITH AN AIR COOLED TORCH
• Connect the ground lead to the positive
(+) socket of the generator (pos. 5) and the
ground pincer to the piece which is to be wel-
ded.
• Connect the power cable of the torch to the
negative (-) socket of the generator (pos. 4)
and connect the torch button cable to the 12-
pole socket on the generator (pos. 7) (PIN 1
& 2).
• Connect the gas tube to the "gas connec-
tion" located on the rear panel of the gene-
rator (pos. C) and to the pressure reducer
assembled on the suitably fixed cylinder.
(Note: The gas which must be used is pure
argon; for further information on "PROTEC-
TION GAS CONNECTION", please read the
relative paragraph).
• Hold the torch without pushing the trigger;
supply voltage to the generator using the
start/stop (ON/OFF) switch assembled on the
rear panel (pos. A) of the generator (Warning:
The welder will suggest the settings used in
the previous welding).
• Use the button T2 to select the welding pro-
cedure with the infusible electrode (TIG).
• Press button T4 to activate the "set" fun-
ction to select and adjust the values (using
knob pos. 2) of the relative TIG cycle fun-
ctions.
• The Post Gas is automatically regulated by
the generator based on the current and the
welding time, max 10 ".
IMPORTANT: For further information on
parameter functions and regulation in
MMA welding, please read the paragraph
on "CONTROL PANEL - BUTTONS &
LEDS".
• Wait 5 seconds. The generator will auto-
matically exit the parameter regulation menu.
• Adjust the welding current using the knob

2, LED L2 on, or the remote control knob if
the remote control has been activated with
the button T1, LED L1 on.
• The set current value is subject to the ap-
plication of the welding, the diameter of the
infusible electrode and the thickness of the
pieces which are to be welded.
Note: For metal sheets up to 2 mm thick, it is
possible to work without filler, as long as the
edges to be welded are close to each other.
• The table below contains basic information
on the range of currents which can be used,
according to electrode diameter and to sheet
thickness:

SAVE & RECALL
Use the button T4 to save and recall the pa-
rameters set by the operator.
To save the setup proceed as follows:
• Hold the button until the display views the
letter P followed by a number corresponding
to the operator point where the adjusted wel-
ding parameters can be saved in.
• Turn the knob 2 to choose the program
number to save in.
• To save the program keep the button T4
pressed. The wording SAV will appear on the
display.
To recall a saved program proceed as follows:
• Hold the button until the display shows the
letter P followed by a number, the operator
point where the adjusted welding parameters
are saved in.
• Turn the knob 2 to choose the number of
the desired program.
• Press the button T4 to load all the welding
