8.2.9 Setting Machine-specific Parameters with the OC-TOP Control Panel

8.2.9.1 General

The functions of the controls of the sewing drive are determined through the program
and the settings of parameters.
At shipment of the sewing drives the parameter values are preset (preset values). For
each class and subclass some parameters at the "Mechanic Level (B)" must be
changed in order to optimally adapt the controls to the machine. The effected
parameters are listed in the table below and in the parameter sheet in the accessories
pack.

8.2.9.2 Autoselect

The controls "recognize", by measuring the Autoselect resistor, which is found in the
machine, which machine series is attached to them. Control functions and the preset
values of the parameters are selected via Autoselect.

8.2.9.3 Table of Machine-specific Parameters of the DA40MS Controls

The values of the parameters listed as follows must be altered in relation to the preset
values.
The values to be set (x) are to be found in the parameter sheet 9800 351006 PB10 .
(In the accessories pack of the machine).
Parameter *
Designation
607
B, C Maximum speed

B, C Function module for output A **
515
B, C Output A and LED A after the
thread trimming **
* = Parameter at the mechanic level, C = Parameter at the special level.
** A function module is a part of the controls which controls an equipment characteristic
of the machine, e.g. the lifting and lowering of the transport roller. The controls contain
the two function modules A and B.
Each function module includes the following hardeware:
An output (A or B) e.g. for the switching of a solenoid valve.
An input ( A or B) e.g. for connection of a key.
An output for a LED (A or B) which e.g. indicates a switching status.
Each function module can be switched to different functions via the software. There are
further parameters for each function module e.g. for activating counting routines or for
the changing-over of functions after the thread trimming.

ATTENTION!
The changing of the parameter values must be conducted
very carefully because incorrectly set drive controls can
damage the machine!
All parameter values can be returned to the preset values
through a master reset.
