9. TROUBLESHOOTING

Depending on the symptoms that you notice, you can discover the probable cause and solve the problem.
Cause
The machine does not work
properly
The rotor does not suction
the wood
The shredded material does
not have the same thickness
The engine does not start or
it stops by itself
The machine gets stuck
during use.
The engine does not start
because of the rotor is stuck
Probable Cause
The blades are blunt
The diameter of the branches is
too big
The space between the blades is
not correct
Engine electric problem
No petrol left
There is no engine oil or is low
The diameter of the branch is
too large
Impeller or blades have woody
residue or chunks stuck to them

Corrective Action
Sharpen or replace the blades
Remove the branches with a diameter
wider than that permitted.
Adjust the space to 0.5mm.
Avoid the accidental start up of the
machine. Verify that the switch is in the
ON ¨I¨ position.
Make sure that the emergency button is
disabled.
Add fuel
Add oi (see Section 8.1.2.)
Turn off the engine and remove the
spark plug. Remove the cap of the rotor
shaft. Turn the rotor a few degrees with
a wrench specifically designed for this
purpose.
Leave the rotor blocked using the key.
Remove the material from the inlet
tube with the help of a stick or a tool
and restart the machine. If necessary,
change the blades.
