WARNING! When removing a blade, be aware that it can be ejected by the spring load
force. Never position yourself facing to the blade. Always hold blade firmly during
insertion or removal.
To remove the blade follow the below instructions:
• Open the anti-splinter guard.
• Pull the blade clamp lever up and hold it in this position.
• Carefully slide out the blade.
Setting the pendulum action
The pendulum action consists of the blade stroking up and down and simultaneously
rocking in a pendulum-like motion i.e. the blade moves forwards and backwards.
The pendulum action switch can be set in four positions. The setting depends on the type
of the cut and the workpiece material.
A low pendulum action usually results in a smooth and clean cut (smooth edges, without
any jaggedness).
A high pendulum action usually results in a coarse and fast cut where the edges of the
workpiece are more jagged.
Position Blade movement
0
No pendulum action.
The blade moves up and
down in a straight line,
allowing a smooth but
unaggressive cut
1
Light pendulum action
2
Medium pendulum action
3
High pendulum action.
The blade moves in an
elliptical stroke, allowing a
more aggressive cut.
Tip: If you find the pendulum action setting you have selected is cutting the material too
aggressively, you can always change the setting in the middle of the cut.
