General information
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed.
PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE 4 QT. STAND MIXER.
1.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord, plug or Slow Cooker
in water or any other liquid.
2.
If the power cord is damaged, the manufacturer or qualified electrician must replace
it in order to avoid hazard.
3.
Do not use outdoors. For household use only. Do not use the appliance for other than
intended use.
4.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.
5.
Never touch the outer surface of the slow cooker during its operation or before it
cools. Use the handles. Use oven gloves or a cloth when removing the lid or handling
the ceramic pot. Tilt the lid away from you when removing the lid to avoid scalding.
6.
Unplug this unit from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow
appliance to cool completely before immersing the ceramic pot or lid in water. DO
NOT immerse the slow cooker base in water or any other liquid.
7.
Do not operate the Slow Cooker with a damaged power cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
8.
Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch any hot
surface.
9.
Do not place this unit on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
10. To disconnect the unit, push the STOP button first and then remove the plug from the
wall outlet. Never leave the slow cooker connected to the power outlet when not in
use.
11. Do not clean the appliance with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off from the
pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electrical shock.
12. Do not switch on the slow cooker if the ceramic pot is empty.
13. NEVER cook directly in the slow cooker base without the ceramic pot.
14. Extreme caution should be used when moving a slow cooker containing hot food,
water, or other hot liquids. DO NOT carry the slow cooker base by the
handles with a full ceramic pot in it. ALWAYS use oven mitts to move it when full.
15. Do not use the ceramic pot or glass lid if cracked or chipped.
16. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding cold or frozen ingredients into a
heated ceramic pot.
17. DO NOT PLACE THE CERAMIC POT OR LID IN A HOT OVEN OR USE ON A STOVE TOP.
