Filling, lighting and refi lling the burner
Open the burner by pulling the slide
Fill the container with bio-ethanol, not more than 2/3 parts of each burner
capacity.
Use a funnel for fi lling.
Spilled ethanol must be removed with an absorbent tissue and the affected
area cleaned with water to avoid ignition outside the burner container.
Long lighters or long matches are ideal when lighting bio-ethanol.
Otherwise there is a risk of defl agration. Under no circumstances throw
used matches into the burner.
If the fl ame does not ignite, please repeat the ignition process until the
fl ame burns steadily.
After the fl ame has gone out, wait at least 30 minutes before restarting
the fi replace. Otherwise there is a risk of explosion.
The fl ame glows slowly and small at fi rst. It can take up to 15 minutes to
reach the optimal temperature and fl ame height.
CAUTION
Risk of fi re! When lighting, always make sure that the fi replace
is placed on a heat-resistant and fi reproof surface or ceramic
tile, not directly on a carpet!
CAUTION
Risk of fi re! The fuel must be kept at a safe distance (at least
1 m) from the fi replace. Do not place ethanol fuel in front of the
fi replace. Note that the ethanol sometimes burns bluish and is
diffi cult to see. Therefore, always make sure that the burner is
switched off and cold before adding ethanol.
Note: The fuel should be stored at room temperature to facilitate its
ignition.
Refi lling the burner
Never pour fuel into the burning fl ame!
Allow the burner to cool down for at least 15 minutes before refi lling.
Do not refi ll the ethanol fuel while there is fl ame or heat in the burner.
