5.6 Commissioning
5.6.1 Start-up
Remove all packaging and protective material and position the TOPITEC EXPERT on the worktop
®
(see chapter 5.3.1.1). The TOPITEC ® EXPERT must be placed on a level and firm
surface. When choosing the location of installation, observe the information on page 31.
The TOPITEC EXPERT is not designed for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. When
®
handling hazardous substances, always strictly adhere to the relevant safety instructions. For more
information, refer to the BAK Guidelines and the German Hazardous Substances Ordinance.
• Connect the power cord to the mains filter socket
at the rear of the device.
• Connect the plug of the power cable to the mains socket. Ensure that the power socket is
correctly earthed!
• Switch on the device, following the instructions in chapter 6.
The power socket of the TOPITEC EXPERT is located at the rear of the device.

Compare the mains voltage with the rated voltage of the system (230 V).
The mains plug should always be easily accessible.
When the device is switched on, a hour glass is displayed on the touch screen while the system is
being booted.
Subsequently, an important message is displayed that you must confirm.
You can now proceed with configuring the device.
