using WitH Fruit AnD vegetABLes
Always select very fresh fruit and vegetables. Clean the fruit and vegetables carefully, then cut away
all hard and fibrous parts, especially: the core (pineapple), leaves (celery), pits (peaches, plums,
apricots, cherries), seeds if there are a lot of them (melons). For artichokes, only juice the heart.
Not all fruit and vegetables have to be peeled: in particular you can avoid peeling all those kind of
fruit with a smooth, thin peel (apples, pears, peaches, apricots). You cannot obtain good juices from
soft fruits (bananas, papayas, mangoes, avocadoes, eggplants, figs etc). To obtain good juices it is
advisable to use hard fruit.
