NOTE: The MULTIDENSITY system allows for a maximum of two parallel cooling
circuits:
To connect the Tee to the proper copper pipe following the table, some M  F
adapters are available to be purchased with all the needed parts to complete the
installation.

BRAZING OF PIPING

OBLIGATION
The oxide that forms inside the pipe during the brazing process is
dissolved by the HFC fluids and causes obstruction of the
refrigerant filter. During the brazing process it is advisable to
introduce nitrogen into the piping.
2.3.5

PIPING LENGTH AND REFRIGERANT CHARGE

Use refrigerant piping made of phosphorus deoxidized copper that meets local
requirements.
Piping for systems for use with other types of refrigerant than R410a may not be able to
be used.

ADDITIONAL REFRIGERANT CHARGE FOR STANDARD DIAMENTER
PIPING BASED ON LENGTH
The amount of refrigerant shown below is the maximum amount to be added on site.
Configuration

Two outdoor unit system
Two outdoor unit system
Both refrigerant overcharge and undercharge will cause problem. Charge the system
with the proper amount of refrigerant. Record the added refrigerant amount on the label
attached to the control box panel for future servicing.
For more information about the external unit's refrigerant charge based on its cooling
capacity correction factor, check the Installation Manual for m-MOCU.
ADDITIONAL REFRIGERNT CHARGE
The amount of refrigerant to be added depends on the size and the total length of the
liquid piping. Calculate the amount of refrigerant to be charged according to the formula
below. Round up the calculation results to the nearest 0.1Kg.

HYDRAULIC CONNECTION OF THE CONDENSATE DRAIN

The connection of the condensate drain must be carried out as decided during the design
stage.
SUPPLIED
The condensate drain pipe is connected to the collection tank.
The length of the piping brings the drain just outside the machine. A circular cut-out shape
must be opened on the base. (Round cut-out shapes can be found on the right and the left.
It's for the installer to decide which side to use).
The condensate drains by gravity.
BY THE INSTALLER
Set up a trap (A) in the vicinity of the machine, as shown in the figure.
Fill the trap with water.
Ensure a 2 - 3% gradient of the pipe down towards the drain.
Keep the same internal diameter for drain pipes of up to 4 - 5 metres. For greater lengths,
increase the section of the drain.
