2. BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION

Every person that works with the product must have read and understood the contents of
these operating instructions.
 Walking under suspended loads is prohibited! The handling area must not be
accessed if the load arm is raised!
 Loads must only be raised and lowered vertically. Diagonal pulling is prohibited.
 Cordon-off the hazard area wherever possible. Only use defined transport
areas.
 Transport areas must always be kept clear.
 Monitor the behaviour of loads and immediately suspend transportation if there
are signs of slippage.
 Do not overload the load suspension device. Before transporting, make sure
that the lifting gear is designed to transport the weight.
 Monitor the forklift's load bearing capacity diagram.
 Only assign specially trained personnel to perform the transport activities.
 Never transport persons with the load or the load suspension device.
 The integrity of the load traverse must be checked before every lifting activity.
Any use is prohibited in the event of damage or rusting that impacts on the
loading capacity, and the load suspension device must be inspected by an
expert
 An expert inspection must be performed at least once a year.

If the load arm is extendable or height-adjustable, ensure that all locking pins
are secured with a cotter before the load arm is used.
