Manual cleaning
1. Place the video lens into a mild enzymatic detergent solution for at least 10
minutes. Make sure the entire video lens is covered with the cleaning solu-
tion.
2. Then brush the video lens with a soft brush (no metal) to remove possible res-
idues in hard to reach places. Make sure the brush does not touch optical sur-
faces (lens protection window) (Fig. 6-1, page 15).
3. Rinse video lens under running water for at least 20 seconds. Ensure that all
cleaning agent residues are removed.
4. Dry the video lens with a lint-free disposable cloth or alternatively with sur-
gical gauze pad (Fig. 6-1, page 15).
5. Areas hard to reach with a cloth or cavities can be cleaned with filtered com-
pressed air. Observe the safety distance of 50 mm between the compressed
air gun and the lens.
6. Optical surfaces should be cleaned with an alcohol-soaked cotton swab. Use
alcohol-resistant wooden or plastic cotton swabs, not metal ones (Fig. 5-
1, page 11).
NOTE!
