Assemble the accessories:
6
- Place the collector bottle directly onto the
taupe-coloured "Clean Valve" (the valve should
be fixed to a smooth, clean surface). To ensure
GB
hygiene, both parts of the valve should be pre-
assembled after cleaning: valve and positioning
ring. (see chapter 3)
If necessary, take care to handle the "Clean Valve" by the rim (taking care not to touch
parts that may be contact with the breast milk).
The innovative technology of the «Clean Valve» valve, exclusive to KITETT®, prevents
the risk of contamination through contact with fingers in the breast shield.
7- Screw the KITETT Kolor® breast shield onto the collection bottle (ensuring that the
taupe-coloured "Clean Valve" is correctly positioned in the bottle)
8
- Fit the body/membrane/handle unit onto the breast shield. Make sure everything
is interlocked (click).
Place the assembled breast pump on the bottle stand for optimal stability.
b. Operating the breast pump
Illustration 4.b
1
- Place the breast shield correctly over your breast, ensuring the milk can flow freely
into the bottle.
2
- Ensure your nipple is centred inside the duct. The flexible part of the breast shield must
also be properly positioned on your breast to ensure complete sealing.
3
- Start to pump.
Stimulation phase:
Pump with short, rapid movements to initiate milk let-down.
The handle should be pressed down as far as the grey mark on the body of the breast
pump
4
- Expression phase: When the first drops of milk start to flow, start pumping with
longer, less frequent movements.
The handle should be pressed down until it touches the bottle.
The speed and length of movements will help you to adjust the strength of suction, ac-
cording to how you feel.
5
- When milk no longer flows or when the bottle is full, stop pumping.
Place the assembled breast pump on the bottle stand for optimal stability.
