PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

The thermometer casing must be kept within the temperature
range of -20°C to 50°C in line with the scope of use of cold
junction compensation in K-type thermocouples.
The probe connectors can tolerate up to +200°C continuously
(see §2 - Connection).
Do not connect this device to installations or equipment of a
higher category than 50V CAT I.
DEFINITIONS OF INSTALLATION CATEGORIES
(cf. CEI 664-1)
I CAT I : Circuits in which measures are taken to limited the
transient overvoltages to an appropriate low level.
E.g. protected electronic circuits.
I CAT II : Power supply circuits for domestic appliances and
the like which may be subject to medium-level transient
overvoltages.
E.g. household appliances and portable tools.
I CAT III : Power supply circuits for power appliances which
may be subject to high-level transient overvoltages.
E.g. industrial machines or devices.
