Wireless Delay
NOTE:
When using Evolve to play video or slideshows with music on your
TV or home media center, Griffin recommends using either your
wired speakers or Evolve's wireless speakers but not both at the
same time. If you use both sets of speakers at the same time, you
may notice that the sound and the performer's mouth movements
are slightly out of sync.
Our quality testing shows this time difference can be most apparent
when watching performers sing or talk. This is not a defect with
Evolve, your iPod or your home media center. All wireless sound
transmission creates a certain amount of delay. Griffin has
minimized the delay to no more than 20 milliseconds from iPod to
speaker. In real-world terms, 20 milliseconds is the time it takes
for sound to travel about 23 feet (70˚F/21˚C).
