Instructions for Use
Introduction:
This blood pressure monitor has been manufactured to
the specifications of the European Directives as set out
in the law on Medical Products (CE Mark), as well as to
the European Standard EN 1060, Part 1 »Non-Invasive
blood pressure instruments – general requirements« and
Part 2 »Additional requirements for mechanical blood
pressure instruments«.
Regular calibration testing is to be carried out in accor-
dance with the regulations existing in individual coun-
tries.
Important:
Protect your blood pressure monitor from damp and dirt.
Care has to be taken not to knock or drop the unit and
that the cuff does not get damaged by sharp objects
(needles, scissors etc.).
Do not inflate to above 300 mmHg.
Individual measurements should not exceed a maximum
of 2 minutes.
Between measurements there should be an interval of at
least 2 minutes.
Placing the cuff
Place the cuff so that the lower cuff edge finishes about
2 – 3 cm above the elbow and the centre of the rubber
bag (see marking) on the artery.

Taking the measurement:

Fully close the valve by turning the air release screw to the
right. Inflate the cuff to above the systolic pressure. By tur-
ning the air release valve the air release speed can be ad-
justed. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recom-
mends a deflation rate of 2 – 3 mmHg per second.
After the measurement is completed open the release
valve to fully deflate the cuff.
Cuffs:
Only use the prescribed boso cuffs with their special
connector.
