5.2 FITTING THE SEAT

Fit the seat (fig. 3.A) onto the plate (fig. 3.B) using
the screws (fig. 3.C) and the spacers (fig. 3.D).
5.3 FITTING THE SIDE DISCHARGE
CHUTE
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The side discharge chute is an integral part of
the machine safety devices and must never be
removed except for reasons of storage space or
to replace it in the event of breakage. The side
discharge chute must always be installed and
efficient before starting work.
1. From the inside of the side discharge chute
(fig. 4.A), fit the spring (fig. 4.B) by inserting
the terminal (fig. 4.B.1) into the hole and
turning it so that both the spring (fig. 4.B)
and the terminal (fig. 4.B.2) are securely
positioned in their seatings.
2. Position the side discharge chute (fig. 4.A)
in line with the cutting-means assembly
brackets (fig. 4.C). Using a screwdriver, turn
the second terminal (fig. 4.B.2) of the spring
(fig. 4.B) to bring it outside the side discharge
chute.
3. Fit the pin (fig. 4.D) in the holes on the
brackets (fig. 4.C) and on the side discharge
chute, so that it passes through the coils of
the spring (fig. 4.B) and the drilled end comes
out of the inner most bracket.
4. Insert the cotter pin (fig. 4.E) in the pin
(fig. 4.D) hole (fig. D.1) and rotate the pin until
it is possible to bend the two ends (fig. 4.E.1)
of the cotter pin, (with the aid of a pair of
pliers), so it cannot slide out and cause the
pin to fall out (fig. 4.D).
CAUTION
Check that the spring works correctly and keep
the side discharge chute securely lowered. Make
sure that the pin is fitted properly to prevent it
from falling out accidentally. Make sure that the
side discharge guard (fig. 5.A) is lowered and
locked by the safety lever (fig. 5.B).
WARNING
Before dismantling or servicing the deflector,
remember to push the safety lever (fig. 6.B) and
lift the side discharge guard (fig. 6.A) to facilitate
its removal.
NOTE
To dismantle the deflector, follow the sequence in
reverse order of assembly.
5.4 ASSEMBLING THE SIDE
REINFORCEMENT PANELS OF THE
CUTTING-MEANS ASSEMBLY
Assembly the side reinforcement panels on the
cutting-means assembly profile using the relative
screws (fig. 7).

6. CONTROLS AND SERVICES

6.1 CONSENT KEY

This key acts as a main switch, enabling or
disabling the power supply to the machine's
motors and services.
The key (fig. 8.A) has 2 positions:
1. Extracted. Machine Off All circuits are
disabled and the machine switches
off. No functions can be activated
2. Inserted all the way. Machine On. All
circuits are enabled and the machine
is ready to use.

6.2 EMERGENCY PUSH-BUTTON

The emergency push-button(fig. 8.B) allows the
immediate shut down of the machine in case of
emergency.
The push-button has two positions:
1. Enable: pressing the emergency
push-button stops the cutting means
motors and drive control.
2. Reset: turn the emergency push-
button clockwise to reinstate all
the functions. To start the machine,
repeat the start-up procedure using
the key (par. 7.4).
NOTE
With the emergency push-button enabled, the
machine cannot be started.
NOTICE
The emergency push-button must never be used
as the usual method of stopping the machine.
