Numerous factors including phys-
ical exertion, taking drugs or the
time of day may have an impact on
blood pressure. Blood pressure
should therefore always be meas-
ured at the same time of day under
similar conditions. Our heart may
beat up to 100,000 times a day,
producing 100,000 different blood
pressure values.

3.1 Inserting the batteries
Open the battery cover in the direc-
tion of the arrow on the upper side
of the device by applying gentle
pressure on the housing notches.

The marking in the battery com-
partment shows you which way to
insert the batteries:
SN 2008-34-000003
Looking for the "+" and "–" signs
on the left and right ends of the
batteries, insert the two "AAA" size
batteries so that the positive (+)
and negative (–) polarities match
the "+" and "–" signs shown on
the sticker in the battery compart-
ment. If the polarities do not match,
the device will not work and the
batteries may leak!
