Oil pump
Perform the following oil pump inspection every 500 hours of operation:
•
Ensure that there is no oil leakage from the pump.
•
Check the oil level.
•
Check that the oil is clean.
9.4
Pump oil change
Remove the panels closest to the pump and the transmission before changing oil.
The first oil change should be made after 500 hours of use and then every 4,000 hours of use. See
the enclosed 'Red card' in the vacuum unit for details regarding oil and oil change. Oil change
must be made on both sides of the pump.
Fill in the back side of the 'Red card' with information after each oil change. Some pumps have
an oil draining kit with a hose which makes the oil change easier, see Figure 6.
NOTE!
Otherwise the entire drain device might loosen the next time the cap is removed. This ruins the
thread seal resulting in oil leakage and the entire drain device must be replaced.
9.5
Internal cleaning
Perform the internal cleaning inspection every 500 hours of operation.
1.
Turn off the unit.
2.
Rotate the pump and motor by hand in both directions.
