MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
!
Before performing any maintenance operations, take the following precautions:
- ensure the ON/OFF switch is off;
- ensure the power supply cannot be switched on again accidentally. Unplug the power supply;
- use the individual personal protection devices provided by Directive 89/391/CEE;
- always operate with appropriate equipment for maintenance;
- after maintenance or repair operations, before putting the mixer into operation again, reinstall
all the protection systems and reactivate all the safety devices.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AIMED AT THE USER
The mixer requires simple but frequent and thorough cleaning in order to ensure efficient
performance and good operation.
GENERAL CLEANING
Cleaning should be performed at the end of each use in compliance with the hygiene standards
and to protect the functionality of the machine.
With the aid of a wooden or plastic spatula remove any dough residue and then perform thorough
cleaning of the bowl, of the tool and of the moveable plastic guard with a soft sponge and warm
water. Dry with absorbent paper for food use then clean again the afore-mentioned surfaces and
subsequently the entire machine with a soft, clean cloth moistened with disinfectant for food
machinery.
!
Under no circumstances use any non-food chemical, abrasive or corrosive products. Avoid the
use of water jets, various utensils, rough or abrasive means such as steel wool, sponges or other
items that could damage the surfaces and in particular compromise safety in terms of hygiene.
