TIPS FOR COMBINATION COOKING

Combination cooking uses microwave energy and broil,
convection cooking to shorten cooking time.
This cooking process also leaves meats juicy on
the inside and crispy on the outside. In combination
cooking, the convection heat and microwave energy
alternate automatically. Combination cooking has four
preprogrammed settings to make it easy to use.
HELPFUL HINTS FOR COMBINATION
COOKING
1. Meats may be roasted directly on the LOW rack.
When using the LOW rack, please check your cooking
guide for information on proper use.
2. Less tender cuts of beef can be roasted and
tenderized using oven cooking bags.
3. When baking, check for doneness after cooking time
is up. If not completely done, let stand in oven for a few
minutes to complete cooking.
COOKWARE PRECAUTIONS
1. Because Combi-1, Combi-2 and Combi-3 use a
combination of microwave energy with either Broil or
Convection, DO NOT use metal bakeware. Only use
microwave-safe cookware such as ceramic or heatproof
glass. All cookware MUST be microwave-safe and
heatproof. Arcing may occur if metal cookware is used.
2. Combi-4 does not use microwave energy so metal
cookware can be used. Heatproof ceramic and
heatproof glass cookware can also be used.
3. The ceramic enamel drip pan and either the low or
medium rack can be used with any of the combi modes.
If using the low or medium rack, the rack MUST be
placed on the ceramic enamel drip pan.

Example: To combination 1 cook for 45 minutes.
1. Touch STOP/CLEAR pad.
2. Touch COMBINATION COOKING pad once.
* CO – 3 PL 30 will be displayed.
3. Touch POWER LEVEL pad three times.
4. Touch number pads to enter 45 minutes
cooking time.
(Oven will automatically cook at 30% power.)
5. Touch ENTER/START pad.
Example: To combination 3 cook at power level 70%
for 15 minutes.
1. Touch STOP/CLEAR pad.
2. Touch COMBINATION COOKING pad three
times.
* CO – 3 PL 30 will be displayed.
3. Touch POWER LEVEL pad two times to set
70%.
* CO – 3 PL 70 will be displayed.
4. Touch number pads to enter 15 minutes
cooking time.
(Oven will automatically cook at 30% power.)
5. Touch ENTER/START pad.
NOTE:
• You can enter a time up to 99 minute 99 seconds.
• When checking food for doneness during cooking,
carefully remove food, rack and drip tray (if used) from
the oven and close oven door to prevent excessive
heat loss.
