5 Preparing Sprayer for Operation
DANGER
■ Plant protection products may contain sub‐
stances that harm individuals, animals, plants
and the environment. The user or other per‐
sons may be poisoned or sustain serious or
fatal injuries.
► Observe the user instructions and the pack‐
aging of the plant protection product.
► Store plant protection protection products
out of the reach of children.
► Store plant protection products in approved
containers.
► Do not store plant protection products with
foods, drinks or animal feed.
► Store plant protection products in a dry and
frost-free location.

Battery
WARNING
■ Children are not aware of and cannot assess
the dangers of the battery Children may be
seriously injured.
► Store the battery out of the reach of chil‐
dren.
■ The battery is not protected against all ambi‐
ent conditions. If the battery is exposed to cer‐
tain ambient conditions, the battery may be
irreparably damaged.
► Store the battery in a clean and dry condi‐
tion.
► Store the battery in an enclosed space.
► Store the battery separately from the
sprayer.
► If the battery is stored in the charger, dis‐
connect the mains plug and store the bat‐
tery at a state of charge between 40% and
60% (2 lit green LEDs).
► Store the battery at a temperature range
between - 10°C and + 50°C.

Cleaning, Maintenance and
Repair
WARNING
■ The sprayer may start unintentionally if the
battery is left in place during cleaning, mainte‐
nance or repair operations. This may result in
serious injury to people and damage to prop‐
erty.
► Switch off the sprayer.
► Remove the battery.

■ Harsh detergents, cleaning with a water jet or
sharp objects can damage the sprayer and the
battery. If the sprayer or the battery are not
cleaned correctly, components may no longer
function properly or safety devices may be
rendered inoperative. They may cause serious
injury to persons.
► Clean the sprayer as described in this
instruction manual.
■ The sprayer can be damaged if it is not rinsed
out with fresh water after finishing work.
► Rinse out the sprayer with fresh water after
finishing work.
■ If the sprayer or the battery are not serviced or
repaired correctly, components may no longer
function properly or safety devices may be
rendered inoperative. This may result in
serous or fatal injury to people.
► Do not attempt to service or repair the
sprayer and the battery.
► If the sprayer and the battery require servic‐
ing or repairs: Contact your STIHL servicing
dealer for assistance.
