3.1. Assembly of the device
a) CAUTION! This product is intended for use with fresh and salt water only. Using
the product with other liquids, aggressive or corrosive materials may cause
damage to the pump and the environment as well as injuries.
b)
Keep all cable connections above the top water level. To ensure additional
protection, secure cable connections and mating cable ends with liquid
electrical insulation.
c)
Cables must be additionally joined using crimp connectors and a marine
sealant.
d)
All mounting holes must be sealed with a marine sealant to prevent from water
ingress.
e)
The system must always be protected with a properly rated fuse. If a short-
circuit occurs, an improperly selected fuse may increase the risk of pump
failure and may possibly cause injuries and/or fire hazard.
f)
The product must be mounted flush with the pump base or above it to ensure
proper isolation.
g)
During installation or serviving of this product always disconnect one of the
main battery cables to prevent from injuries.
