Alarm Testing
As part of a periodic inspection by your provider, the following tests should be carried out.
ALARM
Low oxygen concentration alarm
Temperature alarm
Pressure alarm
Temperature sensor failure alarm

Troubleshooting Guide

The guide below lists common problems, as well as why they happened and what you can do to resolve
them. If you are unable to resolve a problem, or if you experience an issue that is not listed below, please
contact your home care provider.
PROBLEM
The device is switched on but
not working.
The device is switched on but
not working, or only working
intermittently.
Oxygen is not fl owing or the
oxygen fl ow is limited.
The fl oat in the fl ow meter does
not move up or down when ad-
justing the fl ow control dial.
There is water in the cannula.
Adjust the fl ow meter to maximum output to force a decline in
oxygen concentration. Wait for the alarm to trip.
Block the oxygen outlet on the device with your fi nger. Wait for
the alarm to trip.

PROFESSIONAL ONLY.
Use a variable frequency power supply to set the power supply
to below 85% of the device's rated voltage.

Remove the temperature sensor plug. Wait for the alarm to trip
WHY IT HAPPENED
Internal part failure.
The power cord is damaged.
The power cord plug is not pro-
perly inserted into the electrical
outlet.
The oxygen concentrator is not
receiving power from the elect-
rical outlet.
The oxygen tubing or cannula is
kinked or blocked, stopping the
delivery of oxygen.
The humidifi er is not properly
connected to the device.
The fl ow control dial is not open. Turn the fl ow control dial slowly
The fl ow control dial is faulty.
There has been a change in
temperature;
OR
The device is too close to a wall,
curtains or furniture.

HOW TO TEST
WHAT TO DO
Contact your home care
provider.
Check whether the power cord
is damaged.
Make sure the device is proper-
ly plugged in to the electrical
outlet.
Check your household outlet
fuse or circuit.
Contact your home care
provider.
Unkink the oxygen tubing/can-
nula or replace if necessary.
Reinstall the humidifi er.
and carefully.
Contact your home care
provider.
Dry the inside of the humidifi er
cover.
Do not use hot water in the
humidifi er bottle.
Do not overfi ll the humidifi er
bottle.
Keep the oxygen concentrator
and cannula in the same room
at the same temperature.
If using an extension hose with
your oxygen concentrator, spe-
ak to your home care provider
about fi tting a water trap to
collect excess moisture.
