7 - MAINTENANCE, INSPECTIONS AND CHECKS, REPAIRS,
When carrying out maintenance operations, inspections, checks or repairs it is advisable to wear the individual
protective devices listed in this manual. All maintenance operations, inspections, checks and repairs must be
carried out with the greatest care and with the Rotary blades vacuum pump off and the P.T.O. disconnected.
7.1 WASHING THE GEARBOX
At least once a year, wash the gearbox: For washing:
• Remove the oil from the gearbox;
• Remove the cover from the gearbox;
• Wash the gearbox using suitable solvents;
• Restore the lubrication oil;
• Return the cover of the gearbox.
7.2 CHANGING THE CENTRAL GEAR WHEEL
1) Remove the cover of the gearbox by loosening the screws;
2) remove the front and back cover by loosening the screws;
3) remove the central splined shaft by beating the back with a buffer and a hammer until the shaft comes out;
4) remove the central gear wheel to be replaced;
5) insert the central splined shaft into the gearbox by beating the front with a buffer and a hammer
and fitting to the shaft the new gear wheel;
6) fit the front cover with screws;
7) apply the bearing in the rear part;
8) apply the back cover with the screws;
9) fit the cover of the gearbox using the relevant screws.
7.3 REPLACE THE CENTRAL SPLINED SHAFT
1) Remove the cover of the gearbox by loosening the relevant screws;
2) Remove the front and rear cover by loosening the relevant screws;
3) Remove the central splined shaft to be replaced by beating the back with a buffer and a hammer
until the same comes out;
4) remove the central gear wheel on the shaft;
5) remove the shaft from the front cover and replace it;
6) apply the cover to the new shaft and introduce the set into the gearbox, fitting the gear wheel
to the shaft;
7) Remove the front cover via the screws;
8) apply the bearing in the rear part;
9) fix the back cover using the screws.
10) fit the cover of the gearbox using the relevant screws.
